Digital and Streaming Video

Crossroads commenced in the digital video area many years ago, and used some of the very early tools in video capture and compression for the series of Microsoft Pelorus CD-ROM's that we produced for Microsoft in 1995. (Yes, remember those postage stamp size videos [160x120 pixels] - we certainly have come a long way since then!)

We have always kept abreast of the latest developments in the digital video area, and have the experience gained over the "hard yards" to deliver video at the highest quality level for the available bandwidth.

We have also developed a number of specialised Flash video players for clients, to handle both progressive and/or streaming videos. A few branded and stylised samples can be seen at the links below:

• Flash streaming video player (developed in Flex) that "tracks" user's behaviour, such as play/stop/pause/seek/fullscreen/end and records this behaviour to our tracking package - video player example here and sample tracking report here

We have the necessary experience to advise on the best possible approach for video delivery, whether it be progressive video, streamed from a CDN environment, Flash player based, HTML5 player, or a combination of both with coded fallback.
